With a normal delivery in the hospital where I delivered, it's customary to be moved from the labor and delivery room to a recovery room within a couple hours of giving birth. However, even though I was the only person who delivered on the evening of the 15th, there were a ton of people in the recovery rooms and therefore, there was no room for us to move. It was either share a room with someone, or stay in the delivery room until the next day to see if a room became available. We opted to stay in the delivery room until the next day. The boys were super excited to meet Zoe and wanted to come as soon as possible, so we arranged for them to come over the the hospital the next morning. We were still in the delivery room, but the staff was kind enough to let us have visitors anyway. My mom came in to see me first and get some snuggles with Zoe before the boys arrived. It was wonderful to be able to share a few quiet moments with her and tell her Zoe's story!

The boys were instantly in love and we had such a sweet time together as a family. Cameron especially loved holding Zoe and they both loved touching her tiny little hands and feet, rubbing her head, and asking lots of questions about how Zoe came out, how she eats, etc...we had to come up with some interesting answers!
I still want to write about our first weeks at home and my experience in a Belgian hospital, but for now, I am just going to share some of the newborn pictures that we took a week after coming home from the hospital.
