This month has flown by! I can't believe that Zoe is already one month old. It's strange because, while she still seems so new, it's also hard for us to imagine what life was like before Zoe was here with us!
Zoe is still as sweet, snuggly, and quiet as she was when we first brought her home. She is easy going and not really very demanding at all. She lets us know when she's hungry and she hates to have a dirty or wet diaper, but otherwise, she is just quiet and very laid back.
She's strong and has already started trying to pick her head up when she's on her belly. She's also good at holding it up when we sit her on our laps.
She's becoming much more engaged, locking eyes with us and responding to our voices as well as moving her arms and legs around and grabbing onto my hair or shirt when she's eating. She also more expressive, although we are still waiting for her first true smile.
Some other facts about this pretty lady...she gets hiccups and sneezes after every feeding, almost without fail. She got hiccups a lot when she was in my belly, but she is the queen of hiccups! One of my favorite things about her is the way she sighs contentedly or smacks her lips after she's finished eating. I also love the way she frantically moves her head back and forth when she's hungry.
Following suit after her brothers, she is losing the hair on the top of her head so she is starting to look like an old man. She also has at least one dimple like her brothers.
Like I said before, I can't imagine life without Zoe. She is, just as our other children are, a miracle from God and we are incredibly thankful for her life. God knew just what we needed in our family and she is it. She'a already added so much to our lives. Happy one moth Zo-bug!
